Mission Statement

MISSION STATEMENT OF ROY WHISTLER FOUNDATION, INC.

FOUNDATION MISSION STATEMENT ADOPTED JUNE 12, 2003

The Foundation is established and dedicated primarily to the protection and preservation of nature and wildlife in the State of Indiana. This activity encompasses the use of its funds to directly or indirectly acquire, purchase, control, maintain and protect present or future wildlife areas whether wet or dry. If in a given year the funds to be disbursed cannot be utilized to accomplish the primary purpose of the Roy Whistler Foundation, the balance of the funds to be disbursed may be granted to Purdue University to be utilized by Purdue University for the conduct of carbohydrate research. The recipient of these research funds granted to Purdue University shall be the Whistler Center for Carbohydrate Research in the Department of Food Science so long as it shall exist. Funds in the Foundation shall be so consumed that the financial abilities of the Foundation will continually enlarge at a stable rate. The Foundation shall be an indivisible organization, not to become a part of any other organization. Board Members of the Foundation will rotate sequentially to provide continuation of the development program yet with the introduction of new and purposeful concepts.
